Pros

Many of the staff members are caring, hardworking, and genuinely dedicated to their patients and residents. The work itself can be rewarding, especially when you see the positive impact you make in someone’s day. There are opportunities to learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships with both coworkers and patients. When teamwork is present, the environment can feel supportive and fulfilling.

Cons

Short staffing is a common issue, and when someone calls out, CNAs are often expected to stay past their scheduled 8-hour shifts to ensure residents are cared for. Communication between management and staff could be stronger, as there are times when favoritism and inconsistency affect team morale. Some coworkers take extended breaks or are difficult to locate during shifts, leaving others to pick up the slack. The turnover rate is high, which can make it hard to maintain consistency in resident care. Additionally, certain staff-related concerns haven’t always been addressed properly, leading some excellent CNAs to leave due to uncomfortable or unfair situations.
