Pros

It is difficult to think of valid reasons to accept a position

Cons

Everything that can go wrong with this company does. And there is no one to help you! In first month of employment, manager changed, then didn't get paid for over a month, then couldn't get bonus due to policy change, then manager changed again. if you don't take pto you lose it. benefits are the worst

Pros

Nothing. Poor management, mistreatment of employees and residents, all around not a nice place to work

Cons

Going 4 months in Georgia without AC for Residents, 1 month in winter without central heating in a facility Refusal to release 401k and retirement money after leaving company. Mistreatment of staff by management. Ignoring issues at facilities Outsourcing IT jobs, and mass layoffs. This company has been going downhill for 4 years. 4 years ago they made a drastic change to Christmas bonuses in a move that would have made Clark Griswold cringe. For each year prior they allowed employees to cash in thier PTO ( minus 20 hours). This allowed worked to have extra money for the holidays. That year the employees filled out the paperwork the day after Thanksgiving just like normal, This time Mid December when the check was supposed to arrive we got a frozen turkey and an email from the Owner (From the Caymans) stating we would not be doing the bonus checks that year. This caused alot of people to go without that holiday year. Especially at the bottom rung. Of course the management at Corporate got thier bonuses. This is indicative of the treatment of people still left in the company. It has been 3 years since I left the company. I placed my request to access my 401k. Apparently Pruitt has a policy where they can hold onto your 401k for 3years plus you then have to wait till January the next year before you can transfer it out of this cesspit. In the time I have left I have lost almost 4k in retirement due to mismanagement of my funds. The 'wait till January' is new and was not a part of the original plan I was in. If you have to work here. manage your own 401k policy, manage your own healthcare(which is also abysmal), and above all continue looking for new work. If you dont believe me, read all the bad reviews this place has.

Pros

My coworkers. The people that I work with every day truly care about our patients and each other. The pay is competitive.

Cons

I have never worked for an organization that has so many useless levels of management. Complete chaos with no organization. There are individuals who care about the patients but as a whole, Pruitt is about money. The company spends a lot of money on all the wrong things...requiring facility managers to fly/drive all day for meetings that could be held via the Internet to avoid paying millions for hotels, plane tickets, and travel expenses. But that would make too much sense and NOTHING makes sense at Pruitt! They spend thousands and thousands of dollars on printing glossy publications that are distributed to every facility but our patients don't have briefs or washcloths. Every department is lacking very necessary equipment/tools which results in very stressed out employees. No one knows what is going on and why corporate decides to ignore very critical issues. It's absolutely true that this company is a mess and the changes need to start at the very top. Pruitt might be a "Family" but if so, it is an extremely dysfunctional and disjointed one...at best.
