Pros

Great benefits and pay. Lots of opportunity to move around (not always up). Administrative staff is a lot of fun to work with and really great sense of teamwork. Public Health administration is in the midst of a major overhall and its really great for the community and the department.

Cons

Can be very rumor milled. If you supervisor isn't great try to transfer. The hours that are advertised are the hours you will need to work. Same with pay the starting pay for the most part is what they will expect you to start at.

Pros

Great supervisor! Preparedness Department Manager had quarterly team building exercises schedule which created a more collaborative team. Worked with very intellectual people!

Cons

Hmmm. Hard to move up in certain sections. Each person in my department was specialized in something very specific, so if people liked your specialty then those people tend to stay (pro & con).
