Come for a career but you probably won’t last
Pros
You’re eligible for benefits from day one, no waiting period. You get to make your own schedule (the siren song they use to suck you in)
Cons
So much nepotism happening. If you want to be promoted, you better know someone. Existing supervisors getting promotions to positions no one else knew existed or were able to apply for. Unrealistic workload expectations. Equipment and software needed to do the job constantly breaking down. Terrible communication from management to those in the field. Zero accountability. Supervisors just do their time until they can get the next promotion, so they do not properly train, support or discipline problem FCs on their teams and just pass the buck along to the next unsuspecting supervisor who gets promoted. Supervisors are not disciplined, nor held to the same work standards as their subordinates. No one says it, but they expect you to flex your availability constantly. They advertise a 9-5 job but good luck. Burn out is high. Turn over is high. Lots of people get overwhelmed and quit. But you can stay employed here for at least three months, still collecting a paycheck, before you can get fired, even if you don’t even do your job… is that a pro instead?
