Pros

PS is fortunate to have brilliant leadership. That leadership has fostered responsible growth, a robust bottom line and a promising future. Like any venture, one gets from the company what one puts in. Hard work is expected and rewarded. There are some opportunities to fill needs and create your own, unique contributions to the company and that can be very rewarding.

Cons

As with any large company, things can change quickly so one must be flexible and adaptive. That's not a negative unless your personality requires absolute structure.

Pros

The only pro that Public Storage has working for them IF any would be the decent hours.

Cons

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. I wish I would have known what I was getting myself into. Your job is based solely on numbers, how much merchandise you sell how many Google reviews you can get etc and if you don't reach what they consider "acceptable" you basically get treated like a crappy employee. Every single part of the job is based off of a script and you have to follow the script word for word, regardless that we sound stupid and robotic, if you can't do the scripts your fired. They have regional managers who essentially bully their employees because they know they can get away with it. Unreliable district managers who are no where to be found when the screaming customer comes in but they are there when its time to take credit for how great the property looks or how many units are occupied etc. They also don't tell you when you get hired that you will be out pulling weeds picking up dirty diapers condoms boxes of ground beef moving, furniture out of vacant units because they are too cheap to pay for a haul, scrubbing the doors of every unit on the property so they can be dust free, killing wasps bees etc scrubbing feces off of the walls in the bathrooms all in 95 degree FL heat Or that the PTO hours that you earn can ever add up because god forbid you have a flat tire or a doctors appointment and you are running late, they just use all of the PTO time that you have so when it comes time to request a day off because you actually have a life, they deny it because you don't have any PTO. This is a company that has such a horrible turnover rate simply because they won't treat their employees with any respect, they mislead their customers and the store level employees have to catch the back end of it and to make it worse they only want to pay $9.00 an hour. I would never in my life recommend this company to anyone.

Pros

Great work environment and senior management is open to learning and suggestions to make the work environment better

Cons

Benefits seem to be in constant decline. Less time off and holiday/sick pay. Use of sick days is very restrictive and really puts a strain on working parents
