Pros

Public Storage offers a very generous benefits package which includes Medical/Vision/Dental/Legal & 401k contributions with matching deposits & Profit sharing opportunities. Public Storage provides paid training, as well as detailed and specifically tailored ongoing training to learn the day-to-day operations of running a retail business and management truly cares about ensuring your success: from Customer Service, Sales, Accounting, Exceeding Goal expectations & customer issue resolution. You also have a vast amount of autonomy in running a location. And as the largest, Fortune 500 personal storage company with over 2,600 locations nationwide, opportunities exist for advancement and relocation throughout the United States. Public Storage also believes employees need to have a well-balanced mix of work and family life. As far as retail goes, Public Storage's business hours are VERY family friendly! Typical business hours weekdays are only from 9:30am -6pm, and slightly less on weekends Overtime is NEVER mandatory, but available if desired.

Cons

You MUST enjoy working with the public, and be outgoing with the ability to LISTEN to all customers, and be empathetic to their individual situations. Also, most properties are single covered, so need to be reliable in showing up to scheduled shifts on time.

Pros

The company has great benefits and great employees. I love the opportunity to work with customers from all over, a great family of coworkers and a great management support system. I get a chance to do administrative duties, outside work and working one on one with my team. I like that we get an opportunity to move around within district to see other stores and is a company that you can work for any where in the US no matter how family life changes.

Cons

Work on Holidays and weekends
