Pros

Joining Public Storage has been a rewarding experience for me. The “team” environment that exists at every level of the organization has made this an easy transition for me from my prior job. The initial training I received and the support of Senior Management has helped prepare me for whatever challenges may lie ahead. The freedom to try new ideas within my district as well as coach and develop my property managers into solid performers has been a very rewarding experience for me. I also see there is great potential for advancement based on me and my abilities and because of these possibilities I look forward to learning and teaching something new every day. I look forward to continuing my career with Public Storage and would recommend this Company to everyone.

Cons

The technology used is a little behind the times and would like to see an improvement in this area.

Pros

The only pro's is that there are set hours.

Cons

very LOW pay for all the hard work that we do. We get treated as if we are stupid by management when they're the ones who need help from us constantly .... You sucker in customers saying that the first month is only a dollar BUT they have to pay a $22 admin fee we have to say insurance is required but it's NOT ! and we have to try to sell them a lock that is $20 dollars ... I was told I only had to work two stores that were close to me but after I took the job they started making me do 80 mile commutes EVERY DAY. You cant drive that far off of the very low money that you make ...You'll be a slave to this company. The bonus scale changed from weekly, to monthly, to quarterly now to YEARLY ! They have this because of such a high turn-over rate because no-one wants to stay when they get suckered into this job. On top of that when you're ready for your bonus management try to cut it down as low as possible so that THEY can get a bigger bonus. Literally all the hard work that property managers and relief managers do the higher ups ( district manager, regional manager etc.) are the ones who get the bonus for it ! All of our hard work and they rack in the money? That isn't right. Do yourself a favor stay as FAR away from this job as possible ...
