Pros

A set numbers of hours each week, as a relief your locations may change, however you will have a set amount of hours each week.

Cons

*Scripts: PS has come up with several scripts that they want you to memorize to use in daily interactions with the customers, they insist on "role-playing" during visits and have you sign that you will learn these scripts..... *Google: PS has stepped away from providing customer service, and is now pushing the employees to have customers write reviews on Google. As an associate, you are expected to pass out a card asking for a review, and keep track of how many you gave out with how many you expect to receive a review from.... *Bonus: What bonus?? When I first started,we received bonuses every quarter....then it went to monthly...now its ONCE a year...and that is ONLY if you are within the high ranking.... This company is not geared towards the customers or the employees. As an employee you are expected to produce numbers which boosts the upper management pockets.

Its a Job

Pros

Mainly work by yourself on a daily basis. If you do your job you will see the district manager no more than three times a month. A lot of down time at most properties. Job stability.

Cons

Lower level employees from Property manager and relief start out making $9.50. Bonus incentives have changed each year and the company has made it harder for employees to get a bonus. Company went from quarterly bonuses to yearly bonuses. Bonuses decreased each year during my 4 1/2 years at the company. Managers are only focused on numbers not employees. There is no opportunity for advancement. Property Manager is as far as you can grow. The company rather bring in outsiders to manage the district who has no clue how to manage the stores.

Pros

Good Pay the first year with guaranteed bonus

Cons

As a District Manager you are working 7 days a week with no work life balance (even on vacation), micromanaged to the point of not running your own area. The upper management believes that learning and memorizing scripts will bring in sales. There is no real training department. There is even a script for DM's to use when coaching employees. No advancement for Property managers and the bonus and pay is pathetic and there is no advancement opportunity so there is no incentive for them to improve. Leadership leads with hostile tactics. Lock cuts are not safe and when the injuries are reported, the details are pushed under the rug. Regional sets up employees for failure so he can look better. This job is stressful and not worth the money.
