      Pros

      If you want to work long term the retirement plan is ridiculously great. Good pay rates for employees. Good kind of people employed there. Usually schedule pretty good hours for their part time positions depending on your availability. Full shifts instead of little 3 hour wastes of time.

      Cons

      Expect a great deal from you. Will complain if you don't get work done and complain if you don't invest a lot of time into speaking to all customers in the department.

      Pros

      Generally the environment is clean and the store is air conditioned. Most of the time I worked with people who would work 'with' me. Publix offered a set schedule for me, which was a plus. There was alot of person to person contact with the customers, and I like that a great deal. They do offer benefits that are said to be very good; but I can't claim to really have a comparison, so I don't really know.

      Cons

      Very often the management staff was far from being in any sort of sync. This makes it very, very had to offer them service that they will be satisfied with. The overall result of that is that you work your but off, but satisfy no one.
