Pros
Over the years I really enjoyed working at PSE in the IT department. I met so many great folks both in IT and in the business. My closest friends and colleagues I met at PSE. Historically the culture has been great and we celebrated the great work the employees have done, there were clear goals, and we rallied together to get the work done, we had each others back, and this made PSE a "great place to work"
Cons
As a top level individual contributor I found it difficult to navigate the lot of levels of management and bureaucracy. As a result work completed was often not brought to fruition and became wasted efforts. Top level executives started getting in the weeds of day to day operations and making decisions they are not equipped to make. Employees are asked to do more with less because the company started doing layoffs and outsourcing at the same time, while also trying to complete competing projects with unclear or unrealistic deadlines or goals. Overburdened employees make mistakes and upper leadership call them out in a public forum and use scare tactics to say that "human error will not be tolerated" and "there will be consequences"
