Admissions is a Great Place

Pros

The admissions office is a comfortable place to be. With a reasonable travel schedule, the office is dedicated to student success with emphasis on helping students find the right fit. In general Purchase has a very creative and open minded campus, and the diversity of programs, events, and shows happening on campus means there are a lot of opportunities to be involved with the community.

Cons

Most faculty and staff live outside of Westchester County and the commute is long with a lot of traffic. On the upside - you can car pool.

Motivated student body and faculty makes Purchase College a motivating place to teach.

Cons

The relationship of various schools to one another feels disparate and incongruous; better collaboration and integration would benefit the entire academic body.

Pros

Easy job, nice environment, friendly co-workers and more often than not, the clientele is friendly.

Cons

Pay isn't great and raises come once a year. The computer system, staff ideas, and administration are all stuck in the past.
