Cons – Not many places to go in the mid-west if you like out door activities.ns – Pay roll is always slow and you have to jump through a bunch of hoops.

Compensation; most grad students are offered tuition remission with RA or TA appointments. Teaching, taking classes, and research is challenging, it's rewarding for the most part.

Cons

Difficult for international studnets to get employemnt at career fairs. I'd also so that there needs to be more west coast based companies at the career fairs.
