I believe the average length of employment is around 15 years for the majority of the staff and administration. They are stuck in old ways and fight every chance to move processes into the 21st century. Older employees who lack technological skills resent newer employees who bring new approaches. You find more retirees who have returned and temps working there than fresher employees. There is a high turnaround for employees working there two years or less.

President has limited understanding of what it takes to support a university and a student. Merit pay freezes for years due to Mitch Daniels as governor, now for two more years with Mitch as president of Purdue.
