Pros

Progressive wage structure, though due only to union representation.

Cons

Not a proactive management team. This is not a critique of local management per say, but of the management culture within the corporation. They take way too long to position themselves effectively to either market conditions or more efficient means of conducting business. Quite often, management are too busy pinching pennies while dollars walk out the door.

Lots of great people to work with; great sense of teamwork. Some managers not great, others really care, which makes all the difference.

Cons

I didn't like the fact that I was forced to join the union. what do I get for my dues, other than a free copy of a collective agreement that I'll never read.

Pros

Opportunities for advancement and a culture of team building and free sharing of ideas, generally speaking.

Cons

Management is under enormous pressures, but regular emplyees are never shown why or how the business makes or loses money. As a result there are typically disgruntled soters and couriers when changes are made. Work hrs.. thus a huge turnover rate of new hires Unionized environment so there are pros but cons seem to outweigh the pros, ESP when there is general incompetancy, lazyness, or just bad apples you must work with daily... Assuming they actually show up for work that is. Many ppl blow shifts at least where I worked.
