Pros

Opportunities to work from home. Looks good on resume, which is honestly why most people suffer working here. Put in your two years and get out.

Cons

The HR team is deeply disengaged with supporting employees. They will refuse to assist you on any HR-related matter, referring you to automated services. If you need a signed letter from your employer for a mortgage? Good luck getting one from HR. Need employment verification for a state relocation grant? Nope. You're out of luck. Like most of the Big Four, the culture is extremely unhealthy and focused on overworking junior staff. You will work brutal hours late into the evenings and on weekends with no respect for personal boundaries. The compensation is below average for the industry, as a result there is extremely high turn-over. You're here as a stepping stone to private industry and management knows it.

Pros

PwC has excellent benefits and they promote a culture of belonging, alongside equity and diversity

Cons

It is absolutely true when people say that people leave their manager, not their job. Having been at PwC the last 11 years, I have had many managers and worked on many teams. Unfortunately, it's a 50/50 situation whether you will work with staff that uphold the PwC values and those that don't. Integrity and care are just two of those values, both of which are very important to me. I have had some wonderful experiences and also some very poor experiences. I have been particularly disappointed to have worked with several people in human capital that mistreat employees in the way they speak to them. A huge lack of care and integrity violations of speaking ill of others.

Pros

Solid benefits, CPA bonus, decent healthcare coverage, HSA, lots of ambitious young people, prestige, tons of resource for professional development, frequent firm social events and networking opportunities

Cons

Constant deadlines, long hours, poor coaching model, sink or swim culture, proprietary firm technology that you can’t google to learn, too decentralized and disorganized, nepotism, expected to attend social events after hours, etc.
