Pros

Some of the insurance perks (like free online therapy) are nice. Travel benefit is nice, if you can find time to take advantage of it.

Cons

Pyramid Global pays significantly less across the board compared to Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and most other hotel companies. Every time I've asked for a raise, I've been told that their 'hands are tied by corporate' and that 'corporate sets the pay scale'. To give you an idea, I make 50% of the national average for my job title. We have had 3 GPO changes in under 9 months... The first two were wildly unorganized and all the properties were left to their own devices trying to pick up the pieces. It was a nightmare. They have also changed our purchasing system from Birchstreet to an underdeveloped program called Craftable. The functionality of it is horrible, and they are using it to micromanage every single transaction at the property level. It is tedious and incredibly time consuming for no benefit. Haven't seen any opportunities pop up for promotions or movement to other Pyramid Global properties. There is no accountability and very poor communication property-wide and between property level and corporate. A lot of my daily grievances are at the property itself. Overall, things are routinely disorganized. No one communicates effectively or in adequate time, and everyone is perpetually stressed because of this but somehow it never changes. There is no accountability or repercussions for anything. We have people call out constantly and they are never written up, which really bothers me because it puts immense strain on the remaining staff (that is already shorthanded to begin with). This is a struggle with F&B everywhere, I think, but it's just an accepted commonality here with no ramifications.
