Pros

Great story of meritocracy and hard work by the owners of the company. Pyramid owners were genuine in attempting to connect with employees during the COVID extended work from home phase.

Cons

A leadership hire was made in the summer, that changed the culture for the worse. The company went from a family oriented and flexible work place to more recently an workplace that has resulted in employees constantly being in placed defensive posture in response a mercurial and unpredictable client. Currently, a significant percentage of their consultants are supporting a difficult client which has resulted in the loss of talented and capable consultants. Pyramid is a small company that has failed to evolve and recognize that it's employees should be treated as their most valued assets. I would not recommend working at Pyramid until their is a major change in the current leadership, don't be swayed by the fictitious best employer rewards and the previous reviews. which may paint a much more rosey picture. In a nutshell, I hope working at this company is not your only option.

Pros

The company truly cares about its employees. They listen to employee concerns and take measures to improve at all levels. The executive team works hard to make employees at all levels have opportunities to grow. They are transparent, which is huge in a federal contracting company which always has some level of uncertainty. The culture starts with professional teamwork and positivity at all levels. Employees don't gossip or point fingers. As a result, the atmosphere is generally fun and lighthearted with events like ping pong tournaments, board game nights, professional sports outings, and company picnics. The founders highly value volunteerism and community service and provide time off for volunteering.

Cons

At times, the company does not value input from people speaking about a topic outside their formal job. For example, if a software developer gives really good input regarding a proposal, it often gets dismissed because the software developer isn't a proposal writer. Or if a business analyst gives really helpful input about technical design, it gets dismissed because they aren't engineers.
