Pros

some interesting work at times

Cons

Unstable work, they may lose some contracts. Low morale, high turnover. Some condescending/arrogant coworkers (for no reason). Some disheveled and unprofessional appearances. Office politics, gossip, favoritism. Layout is like working in a fishbowl.

Federal consulting is not always easy due to the nature of contracting. Our staff’s well-being is just as important to us as our client’s success, so we are transparent with staff and properly prepare them for the future when/if a contract comes to an end. We hope you received that preparation and if you didn’t, let us know so we can make corrective changes. Our turnover rate overall in the industry is low. Measuring and monitoring our turnover rate is critical to us. Recently we won a Great Places to Work certification with 95% percent of respondents saying they highly enjoying working at Pyramid. We would love to talk with you personally to see how we can make working at Pyramid better, please contact us at HR@pyramidsystems.com.

Pros

- It's located in the suburbs so the traffic is not TOO bad - Some employees there are nice - Good for young, energetic people with no other workplaces to compare this place to and who must stay there to start their career. Not good for introverts or who prefer working alone. Not good for people who prefer the traditional office environment.

Cons

- The open office environment sucks - No ability to work from home even though many of their clients (the USCIS for example) allows it - Have to travel between DC and the Fairfax office multiple times a week. DC sucks.

Pros

This small company has a great work environment; dedicated leadership; it is a very honest and ethical business; there is a lot of commitment and dedication to its people; the company always asks employees for input and shares in profits

Cons

As a government contractor opportunites are available when there is new business so if you want to move up fast it might not be the right place.
