Pros

Working from home. Semi-flexible schedule. Autonomy.

Cons

Con: Pay. Much lower than the given estimate. I was told an estimate of $25/hr once I calculated it out. A small pay cut from my hospital job at the time but doable when figuring in the working from home part. In the end, I calculated my pay up to being closer to $14/hr and not sustainable for my family. Con: Having to report to so many supervisors. I reported to one main boss who was great, but I reported to at least 8 different supervisors/team leads on a weekly basis. Some were very easy to work with. Some were not. Differences in communication and management styles made this hard to keep up with. Assignments were not a streamlined process so each Team Leader assigned work in a different way. This took me a lot of unpaid time to look up my assignments each week. Sometimes it was hosted on the company software. Sometimes the assignment list required me to sign into the company software, then remote into the client computers' system, then sign into their applications just to find out if I had work to do for that client (which I might not have any that week). Con: My PTO was not respected. The ultimate reason I started looking for another job was when a team lead scheduled me for work despite me being out of office for my child to have surgery. I was later reprimanded when the client was not delivered their data on time. I did report this to HR during my exit interview.

Team member feedback is very important to us, so I’d like to address yours to the extent I can in this anonymized forum and provide my contact information in the event you’d like to share any additional information or discuss your situation further. Q-Centrix is committed to supporting team members’ work life balance needs. I am so sorry to hear that you felt your PTO was not respected during what must have been a very hard time for you. We will reiterate the importance of supporting team members’ time off, particularly in situations as you described. Above all, however, we hope you and your family are doing well. With respect to compensation, our model is designed to reward strong performance. We provide our team members with training and educational resources to help support productivity and quality, enabling them to meet their earning goals. I’ve shared your concerns with our team as we continue expanding the resources that help team members do just that. To your comment on management—our facility assignment strategy is designed to ensure team members have access to consistent, meaningful work and have the ability to learn and grow, while ensuring consistent support for our partners, as well. That being said, we’re always looking for ways to improve, including evaluating ways to streamline facility assignments and reporting structures, so we appreciate your perspective and advice. We’re always receptive to existing and former team members’ feedback so if you have any further thoughts, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly at eve.hersh@q-centrix.com. Pros

Solid mentorship, wonderful company culture, heavily pushed work/life balance, unlimited PTO that people actually take (Normal to take 30+ days/year). Gorgeous office in san diego, but full remote work is fine too. Regular and transparent communication about what's going on in the company. Demonstrable commitment to keeping employees (0 layoffs since i've worked here).

Cons

Salary is decent but not top of the range for sure. Career progression can be a little slow unless you push hard for it. Product is not super exciting to work on.
