Pros

I really enjoy working at Q2. There is always something to look forward to at the office, such as happy hours, picnics, holiday parties, and town hall meetings. I love that Q2 allows employees to explore many different career paths. I've never had an employer support my career goals to the degree that Q2 does. I know the benefits team has also worked hard to continue to improve upon the great benefits offered to us every single year. At the end of the day, the mission of Q2 speaks to me, and I'm proud to work for a company that is so focused on supporting community financial institutions.

Cons

Tough to keep the culture great when we are growing so much. I know Q2 is working hard to maintain a strong and unique culture.

Pros

The insurance premiums are cheap, there are no parking problems, occasional free food, bank holidays off, pretty average PTO, swanky office building.

Cons

This is just a pretty weird place to work. Everyone who's been there more than 5 years never stops talking about how they've "seen it all" and how new employees "just can't begin to understand" Q2's history, as if it's been around for 100 years. I've actually worked for 50+ year old company employing multiple generations of families and those people had much less sense of ownership and superiority than you see with a 5-6 year "veteran" at Q2. There's also huge problem of subtle sexism here, at least in the sales department. I had a female coworker ask for a title change and she was literally laughed out of her (male) superior's office. A male coworker under the same manager asked for a title change around the same time and his request was honored within 2 business days. I've seen female coworkers (whose roles are in no way that of personal or administrative assistants) asked to heat up their (male) boss's lunch or order food for the sales people for seemingly no other reason than that they are female. If only you could talk to HR about these things... Except the HR department here absolutely does not care. They seem to have very little idea about what's going on at the company. This could be much improved with more focus on employee benefits and less focus on passing out stickers reminding you to "pay attention" to remote employees (boo hoo, you get to work from home everyday?). There are some serious issues with professional practices. I had a coworker fired in the middle of the day and without having yet even told anyone on his team that he had been let go, HR came over to his desk and asked his own coworkers to start packing up his desk in the middle of the day. That was a bit disturbing. So, I'd avoid Q2 if you could.
