Leaders fail to Lead

Pros

Genuine people with positive intentions working hard to get things done Flexible, to a fault

Cons

QIC is buoyed up by the efforts of the few, not the many. As a GOC it gets to claim distance from the stigma of government bureaucracy while benefiting from the security of a permanent owner, but somehow manages to combine the worst of both private and public enterprise. Progress is slow and wasteful and success is truly driven by only a handful of capable people in each division. Funding for projects isn't merit based and I can't remember a single project that wasn't a major time or budget blowout (usually both) Current executive team is led by a dinosaur who has thankfully announced retirement. Unless the new CEO cuts dead wood from the Executive-Director level down, there's nothing here for me.
