Great Leadership

Pros

Culture is what you make it! And I believe that the people of QTS seek to make it a great culture that is fun and desirable to work at! QTS employees seek to do the "RIGHT" thing in every situation, while working with employees, clients, and partners. The data center industry is growing fast and QTS is growing at a rapid pace along with the industry! With that said, the sales environment is fast pace with many changes and opportunity for growth. If you don't like change, then this industry or QTS might not be good fit for you.

Cons

Would like to see an increase in marketing/events budget.

Pros

You can get a lot of great experience here in the data center environment and learn plenty for your next job. You will also learn how to duck and cover when politics begins to come into play. The pay is ok, benefits need work.

Cons

So very many. Leadership is horrendous. There are a few good ones left in prod mgmt, const. and a couple in sales. Outside of that, the really inspiring ones are gone because they where honest and did the right thing. Top guys don’t like that at QTS. Politics is played hard and fast here. If you are not careful or you say the wrong thing or have perceived alliances, you are out. The new regime felt like it was going to make some changes once the officer (but not a gentleman) was decommissioned but it did not happen. It’s really the same old business. Morale still sucks and the fake reviews on here to raise the ranking are shameful.

We collect data on employee engagement every month, and this empirical data is evidence that “morale doesn’t suck”; in fact our scores are actually pretty healthy. Of course we have areas of opportunity to improve, just like any company, and we’re committed to getting better. Your experience with the company is regrettable, but it doesn’t match others’ views. I’m glad you feel QTS can be a great company, in fact I know it is already, based on my 8 years here. And we’ll keep getting better every day. - Tag Greason, Chief Hyperscale Officer

Empty Promises

Pros

There are no Pros for this company. They need to focus on being a REIT- stop trying to be a service provider unless you hire, retain and develop your employees and leaders.

Cons

Plenty. Board of Directors are not in synch with market. Myopic views. HR leadership is an empty headed joke. Benefits are terrible. Ops Support Center is a shell game. No skills or capabilities. Truly the Achilles heel of the organization. Management through fear mongering and threats.

As a long term employee, I believe there are many pros to being a QTS employee. In my role as VP of Customer Care, with full responsibility for the Operations Support Center, I'd like to chat in more detail about your concerns. I encourage you to schedule some time with me to discuss. -Lorraine Swicicki, VP of Customer Care
