Pros

HSN was a great place to work until it was acquired by QVC. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

QVC management dominates the leadership Qurate Retail Group and as a result the best practices fall by the wayside in favor of the "QVC way". Initiatives tend to be rushed without the necessary resources to properly complete them causing significant rework to correct past mistakes.

Pros

This job has a lot of great workers and the morale overall is positive. The positions available in this warehouse are Varied and pay about the same but overtime is plenty and some positions have very frequent raises. Benefits are available to you immediately if you are full time and employed through the company. Unfortunately agency or temp workers don’t receive any benefits and tend to become the “Unsung heroes” of the warehouse. Within my unit specifically it’s pretty fast paced and management is very friendly and reacts well to criticism to try and make the environment and work flow as smooth as possible. The break room being completely modern with some bar games and a mini “gas station” style area to buy snacks is a nice touch to a long shift. And last but not least, moving up in the company is SUPER easy. If you’re dedicated to the job and continue being persistent you can easily apply for an upper management position as they are always hiring lead roles. Its not a bad idea to become pro-active and ask your manager to cross-train you. Because there’s so many available areas managers are usually happy to train employees in many areas of you ask nicely and it helps improve your knowledge of the job plus an easier time to advance.

Cons

HR is pretty slow with ... just about everything. Unless you directly go to them and sell your soul to get answers or have a task completed it’s impossible to get answers you would be seeking. Management has a hand in dealing with communication between them but good luck hearing back because they push those requests to the back. Outside of that some coworkers tend to get snippy as there are rates in some areas. While they don’t reflect your work ethic completely management enjoys seeing higher rates and coworkers will be slightly petty to come out on top and be in their good graces. Depending on your management they can see who the true workers are but that all depends on what part of the warehouse you work in. Outside of that the security team hired there tends to let some real jerks take those seats. Unfortunately their not Qurate workers so getting them reported is a long load. Luckily you only have to deal with them going in and out of the building.
