Pros

You get the opportunity to work in a different kind of buying medium. You are buying for TV so you have to be very creative and really know why a story is going to get someone to purchase.

Cons

Be ready to have meetings all day everyday from 9-5 while also receiving 1k+ emails a day from vendors, legal, e-commerce, social and planning. If you work your way up from merch trainee there is no room for asking for higher pay. You need to leave the company and then return in order to ask for a higher salary. Although you pick the products and work tirelessly to get the deal, get legal claims approved, figure out compelling demos and get them approved.... planning will be receiving a bonus if your product does well on air. It was a great learning experience working there but you do not get paid enough for what is expected of you.

Pros

Work from home. Can make own schedule.

Cons

Getting hours is a race, you have to be quick in grabbing hours. Hard to meet 20 hrs sometimes.
