Arbitrary payscales for male versus female employees that went from the technician to the engineering levels; and from the Triquint versus the RFMD employees after the merger in 2016.

Pros

No shortage of smart, talented, hardworking staff at every level and discipline. Facilities, location (both Hillsboro, OR - home of TriQuint and Greensboro, NC - formerly RFMD, now the official company Headquarters) are nice, surrounded by greenspace to walk, etc.

Cons

The extremes to which Cost Savings and Lean manufacturing are applied is often short sighted and counterproductive. At some point, no matter how dedicated employees are in their team efforts and individual contributions to "do more with less" eventually, there isn't any "less" left with which anything "more" is even possible.
