Salary lags behind other comparable positions in the area. While other benefits have made up for this in the past, they have been fairly steadily eroded of the last several years.
The physical work environment is horrible. The office space is is almost exclusively cube farms on enclosed mezzanines above the production floor with occasional windows or skylights. I depending on where your desk is (had 5 or six in my time there) the insulation is barely adequate, and the HVAC insufficient. You will often feel the heat radiating down from the roof in the summer, cold in the winter and hear alarms and horns from the machines below (or worse, feel vibrations.)
