Pros

Good managers and great co-workers. Decent opportunity to advance. They mainly hire software developers right out of college and this is an excellent place to work for a few years and get experience - very friendly and helpful co-workers, and they use all the latest Microsoft technology. Also they carefully pick IT leads and managers with good social and people skills, so expect a decent boss.

Cons

This was a great place to work a few years ago. Then they went public and bought first one major competitor, then another. They are pushing way too hard and way to fast to get the corporate software platform integrated in to all the new plants. The IT staff is over stressed and over worked. Also, pay raises have basically evaporated, particularly if you are experienced and make more than the entry level software developer. Environment is more stressful and there is more work expected of you every day. Also, you have to take your turn in a rotation (on your team) to do 24 - 7 support for a week. How many calls is highly dependent on your team, but in general it is going up. The closer the software your team works on is to the machinery, the more calls you will get. Company benefits use to be the best, but are drying up fast.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn new technologies. Dynamic environments. Fun place to work. Greate benefit including gym, cafeteria, uniform, etc.

Cons

every thing is good until it comes to the salary raise. Wearing uniform can be pros for guys but for girls, they want some variety :)
