Good until it was horrible

Pros

The people are about the only positive thing left at this company but I am sure that will change with the PE firm sending a large percentage of jobs to foreign countries. Benefits are good for now, but rumor is that those will be slashed too.

Cons

Where to start? When I first got to Qualtrics, my manager was great. Then he left. Then you started seeing other managers leaving. They must have seen the writing on the wall before the company hit us with huge layoffs and sending our jobs to other countries. This is and will be a different company over the next few years. There may be additional layoffs and benefit cuts. The PE firm is obviously keen on cutting costs at all costs. I happened to be part of a group that was having my job outsourced. They offered us a bonus and severance to stay at the company to help transition our jobs to employees in foreign countries. Then, they changed the terms of what they had originally offered. They waited multiple days to send us a contract with terms that were different from what we were originally told and with lower severance. Middle management and your colleagues are great, although I expect this will change with expected high attrition rates. Leadership likely needs to be changed for anything positive to happen here. The promotion cycle is horrible. They used to do it twice a year and they are now changing it to once a year. This will make it more competitive and harder to get promoted. Typically unless you're doing A LOT of extra initiatives on top of your current job you won't even be considered for promotion and even then, I was turned down for being a top performer.

Pros

I used to love this company, then they shifted priorities away from caring about employees to corporate greed and lining leaderships pockets. Used to be a really great place to work. Really sad how qualtrics turned out.

Cons

They do not deal with minorities or ADA people well. Run fast from leadership, its been disappointing how they care about leadership making money but do not care about employees.

Not Worth the Hype

Pros

The pay is fair for the stated responsibilities of each job level, and there are some great benefits - I love the wellness benefit, which is $300 a quarter to spend on gym memberships, workout gear, etc.

Cons

For all they tout being an experience management company, they don't put their money where their mouth is when it comes to the experience of their employees. Massive changes and new policies that hit the lowest levels hardest come out of nowhere on a regular basis. It's hard to know what your job will look like a month from now. Promotion is grueling and competitive.
