      Pros

      Large company with multiple job opportunities to advance your career. I would recommend anyone to work for Quest Diagnostics. Management is great to work for and always there to assist when needed.

      Pros

      They are very open to helping "newbies" get started and get some experience under their belt while obtaining their state licenses.

      Cons

      Inconsistent in test req's from one place to the next. Floats never know what they are walking into. Management is too preoccupied with cutting costs to save on their bonuses at year end consequently leaving PCS's understaffed and employees overworked. Raises are a joke. Do not know how to balance volume and patient wait time. Some managers are narcissistic to the point that it breaks down the positive efforts of the team; does not encourage working together. The leader always sets the standard!

      Matrix organization is heavily siloed and creates adversarial relationships between functions Cutthroat, bureaucratic political environment emphasizes shifting blame and empire building Upper management is tone deaf and dismissive of the rank & file's needs Unclear and constantly shifting performance expectations Mediocre pay
