company in turmoil

Pros

Good benefits (at least so far), time off (so - far)

Cons

Technology behind the times. New leadership talks a good line but too much wrong with infrastructure to fix quickly. They are moving too fast and still kept lot of dead wood in place. Lot of new corporate speak being introduced as new - hoshin, centers of excellence, change, sounds good but unlikely to work. Morale is low at all levels. Favoritism is rampant, trust is non -existent, people hide information and management by intimidation is encouraged. Those with talent will leave.

Pros

I love the company, it is a great place to learn, if you are willing to learn, and work extremely hard.

Cons

Very long hours... not everyone works at the same pace. Most people do not want to work, so one person does all the work, while the other "ladies" gossip around, bullying, and backstabbing. Employees are unwilling to learn, and perform the wrong order of drawing over, and over again. They keep drawing a "lavender" tube, before any other tube. Yet they are "gossip/bully buddies" with their supervisor, so they never get corrected. If you complain to your supervisor, the supervisor doesn't help, and becomes even more evil, than the bullies in question. If you complain about a supervisor, forget it you're fried! And become a subject of continuous retaliation, bullying, intimidation, harassment from everyone that "works" around you, and they will not rest! Until they get you out of the company. Very, very hostile environment.

Unhealthy work place

Pros

Reasonable starting salary. Some good managers. Good trainers, although they are not always able to train fully or properly due to their schedules.

Cons

A lot more negative managers than good. Long hours, sometimes 50+ a week. You are not allowed to stand at your desk while doing calls. This makes it hard when you are sometimes working 12 to 14 hours at a time. Required to read the script word for word (often irritating applicants with some of the scripting), even if it is not grammatically correct, which makes the interviewers seem dumb. Too much pressure to always write exactly what the applicant said, even if they speak rapidly or it is hard to understand them.
