Pros

Culture of excellent customer service. Most staff are competent and motivated. Teamwork and goodwill are generally pretty good.

Cons

Technical training is nonexistent. The hospital product was cutting edge a decade ago, but has been allowed to stagnate and is now outdated, though existing customers love it. The solution chosen to modernize it was to outsource development. Even so, probably too late to save market share. Big competitors are eating our lunch. Little recognition for achievements unless you are one of the elect.

Pros

Respectable, very nice and pleasant co-workers. Always make you feel part of the team. Numerous automation tools to be utilized to help you get the job done.

Cons

Management is not honest and transparent to lower level staffs. Disrespect to one's capabilities is a typical scenario. Need to be a kiss ass to move up...

For the most part, Quest Diagnostics is a good place to work - until they let you go.

Pros

Great benefits packages, strives to be compliant with all laws and regulations, provides high quality laboratory results and services.

Cons

As with most, if not all companies, it's who you know rather than what you know that gets you promoted. Problem employees in upper management kept onboard despite known performance issues.
