      Pros

      Employees go to bat for each other. Everyone helps each other out, and is willing to take time out of their day to teach, mentor, and share best practices. We get to know each other outside of work too. Immediate management leadership gets all involved and takes professional development seriously.

      Cons

      Lack of transparency and no long term plan acknowledged. Career path options are limited.

      Pros

      Good salary and benefits. I mostly had good managers, some better than others, but none that I thought were visionary or particularly inspiring. Most of my coworkers were above average to very good at their jobs.

      Cons

      For most of my time at Quest, revenue was declining. So there significant WFRs every year or two. This meant that some of the most talented people left of their own accord. I always got the impression that the folks in upper management were bean counters and never really understood the market or bigger picture of selling commercial software.

      Pros

      The campus is nice, good selection of drinks, fresh fruit, etc.

      Cons

      Culture does not support pay for performance. Speaking for the finance department- although there are plenty of women working in the group, they are not treated the same as men in terms of pay, promotion, and social respect.
