Decent Pay/Not a ton of transparency

Pros

- Good for remote work - Decent pay - Direct team members were great

Cons

- Transparency of what they are looking for just isn't there. Any type of feedback they have for you will be "you're just not quite there yet". The nitty gritty of the feedback that could be constructive will likely be said behind your back unfortunately. I asked multiple times for direct feedback and never received it. - Good luck trying to get promoted here. They will have a new excuse every year as to why you are not being promoted. "Promotion Freeze" "If you weren't eligible last year, you are not eligible this year" "You just quite aren't there yet". Several employees have left for this reason. -They say strategy is the focus, but really it is just your manager trying to appease their upper leadership (even when it does not make any sense). -Very siloed company. There is zero cross collaboration between business units which can really pigeon hole your career.

Pros

Great team and flexibility. I had several family emergencies (fathers caregiver) and was allowed to miss and make up my days during the weekend. Dough, the founder seems to be pretty down to earth and actually shows up to meetings and answers questions from his employees. The pay for a contractor was okay too.

Cons

We work in silos and there was a lack of transparency and communication. We weren't allowed to have cross-functional team collaboration which I found odd for a performance marketing company. Leadership was lacking and sometimes toxic.
