Antiquated "Tech" Company

Pros

Free coffee, snack and sodas. Front office & IT support are helpful.

Cons

CEO is rarely involved with the company, relies on managers to make decisions. Annual promotions are ridiculous! Many managers and VP's have been promoted based on time/seniority instead of performance. Upper management is well aware (when asked) of these employees who are verbally abusive and toxic, yet still get promoted. HR doesn't HR, they just do what ever management says. Employees do not have a voice there. Company is healthy, yet quarterly bonuses are literally dollars! No 401K match too. Pay is low compared to other tech companies.

Pros

A lot of people that have worked here have used this as a way to gain experience to move on to better positions at other companies. If it's your first job out of college, it isn't terrible. Most people leave after a year anyway.

Cons

Favoritism is rampant, especially from the senior management. If you work harder and accomplish more than the rest of your team combined, you'll be treated as if you don't exist. Compensation is terrible, they will low-ball the crap out of you. They just cut cash bonuses this year, right after the president cashed out 6,000 shares of stock for $23,000.
