Great place to grow fast, work with smart people and build real stuff
Pros
I’ve been at Quince for a bit over a year and it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences so far. You get to work on real products that impact users directly, and the kind of learning here is on another level. The tech stack is modern and well thought through. We use Kotlin, Redis, microservices, EKS and a bunch of other tools that are actually used properly. It’s not just shiny tech for the sake of it. There’s a strong engineering culture and people genuinely care about clean, scalable systems. Leadership is one of the biggest plus points here. You’re given context on why things are being built a certain way, and your inputs are heard. Managers and leads are approachable and technical, and they don’t micromanage. Instead, you’re trusted to take ownership and figure things out, which really pushes you to grow. Peers are smart and helpful. I’ve learnt a ton just by sitting with senior engineers during reviews or while debugging tricky issues. There’s a sense of shared responsibility, and people are usually happy to help if you’re stuck.
Cons
The pace is fast and expectations are high. During certain releases, things can get intense and timelines feel aggressive. You need to be good at managing your time and figuring things out on your own. There’s not always a step-by-step guide for everything. Sometimes things move so quickly that planning can feel a bit rushed. Not a dealbreaker, but it does add pressure during crunch weeks.
