Pros

People working at Quizlet are nice and smart and really mission-driven and aligned with the impact on learning and education in general.

Cons

Lex Bayer is the new CEO who joined in Nov- and yes every new CEO comes with their thoughts and policies and its great that he spent the first 3 months meeting a lot of folks and claiming that he will not be making any drastic changes- but he is. Preference for people coming into work, only selecting people who are in hubs office only for new projects and perhaps hiring only in hub locations in the future. I don't know how this will impact all the remote employees that are already there- not good to be not aligned with the work trends in the industry and alienate a whole bunch of people in the process. Not good for the morale of the company.

Pros

Enormous scope and potential impact on student achievement around the globe. Strategic, motivated, empathetic leadership team that creates an enthusiastic culture of owners, while still achieving work/life balance.

Cons

Endless opportunity for internal achievement and recognition. Might feel daunting to anyone not familiar with a fast paced work environment. Personally, feels like a much better balance of working collaboratively as a team towards a common goal compared to my past experience at larger big tech companies.

Pros

The company values are integrated in everything the company does and it's important to not just achieve results, but also do it the right way. There is a well defined career ladder and emphasis on providing people with opportunities to stretch themselves if they so desire. People are open to each other's opinions and ideas and have the ability to drive the changes that are important to them. Overall, people try to not take themselves too seriously, but are serious about helping people learn.

Cons

The office space, while continuing to expand, has become a little cramped as the company has grown
