Pros

The terminal i worked at everyone was fairly easy to get along with. They just got a new terminal manager which is the one that hired me. He seemed stern but very fair. Just wanted the best out his employees. Get your own truck same truck every day. You never have to work the dock. The pay is fair. You start out at 21.55, goes up after 90 days to 22.55, then another dollar raise at every year mark. I cant remember what top out was, i think 25 something. The real money is in linehaul, OTR. The dispatchers were very easy to get along with. If they see you hustling, volunteering for extra work, they will like you and keep you busy. I have nothing really bad to say about R&L. I just got my experience here and took an opportunity with a bigger and more recognized company.

Cons

No overtime, straight pay all the way. Late start time for new hire. Great family owned company but i feel a dead end job no room for growth.

Pros

1. Nice and helpful co-workers if you need help. 2. Good work-life balance and job security. 3. Okay and stable weekly pay. 3 Pros, 3 Stars.

Cons

1. Outdated technology stack, complicated processes to push code. Little or no code review, there were some coding standards but nobody's actually enforcing them, causing a lot of technical debt in the code base. "Company culture" is nonexistent, relaxed but boring work environment, everyone just seems to be keeping to themselves. 2. You get a fixed salary no matter how good or how bad you perform, some people work hard, sometimes over 8 hours a day voluntarily but some people don't really work much and yet they get paid pretty much the same, there's no performance review and I feel bad for those hard workers, they are valuable to the company but maybe the reward they get is more work, this leads to no room for growth, unless you know how to get upper management's attention and make sure they like you. It's not about how great your work is nor how fast you can get things done, it's about getting attentions. 3. The project managers consists of some incompetent people who have limited or even no knowledge of coding/software development/project management, some are micro managing, slow things down when developers are trying to work, and the communication is very limited within the company, upper management wouldn't care if you have any advices or comments. 4. Limited vacation days and sick days, insurance wasn't good. 5. Location, location, location. Like someone said earlier, consider moving to a better area with a better talent pool (Cincinnati or Columbus).
