Pros

chose your own projects; huge range of work opportunities; full flexibility of schedule (make your own work hours); people are usually incredible to work with; better work-life balance than academia or other comparable roles

Cons

can be tough to not have someone else at the company advocating for you; mentorship programs/efforts are fragmented; difficult for BIPOC to feel like they belong; difficult to feel community when new since most people working from home

Pros

Good benefits including 20 days off per year as well as some floating holidays

Cons

Culture is toxic and don't necessarily do things above board. Most of the staff have been there for a long time so hard to move up.
