Pros

-Friendly place to work -Great location -Role is what you make of it. You have to find projects that appeal to you and fit your goals -good benefits -interesting range of projects, you can always find something that interests you -supervisors are willing to challenge you and give you expanded roles if you prove yourself trustworthy

Cons

-glass ceiling, no upward mobility. You cannot progress past research assistant without higher education. Your skills and roles outgrow your pay and title quickly - can be difficult to find work at times - clear difference between AAs and RAs and other higher level employees in how they are treated by management. -salary grows slowly

Pros

Ability to work remotely is a huge plus. Matrix structure allows you to take on work you find appealing. Brilliant staff. Excellent President. Great reputation.

Cons

Too much work that should be handled by finance or contracts support is pushed to research project staff.
