Pros

Good history but no longer stands up to former glory. Good coworkers-for the most part but no real culture

Cons

Worst company I have worked for. It’s not innovative or objective. Status quo all the way, mediocrity is the way of life. HR doesn’t do anything to support employees, serious leadership issue due to outdated ways of thinking from upper management. Review cycle is worthless. Literally, the place people go to retire. Do not waste your time at this place. You will regret it and loose skills.

Pros

Good benefits and starting point for someone's career.

Cons

This company's culture is terrible. It puts its researchers on a pedestal and supporting staff beneath them. HR does not advocate for staff when complaints are put in, but they will advocate for management when an employee rubs the boss wrong. If you want someone to do all the thinking for you, then this company will be a fit for you. If you are proactive, then this isn't the place for you. They have meetings for everything, but not a lot is communicated. The company offers a generous amount of leave, but whats the point if you have to provide your manager with a statement of reasons for taking it.

Pros

Benefits package is excellent, as is pay. Lots of interesting policy work to sink your teeth into

Cons

Awful HR dept, no visionary leadership, very little concern for return on investment. Committed to the status quo despite saying otherwise (very frustrating for employees with strong work ethic and vision)
