Pros

Close commute and friendly coworkers

Cons

They use an ancient accounting system that requires you to print and scan hundreds of pages of reports a day (newer software would eliminate this). Had to do accounting for 3 different locations. High volume large number of transactions a day. Everyone else could make errors in the numbers or accounting they did but it was my job to find the errors and fix them because it was on me to have everything balance every day. Ancient accounting system made it difficult to find these errors causing a headache every day. Was given additional job duties beyond the job description such as accounts payable duties. Worked there 1 month and never had one moment of free time, wasn’t ever able to take lunch and often worked 1-2 of overtime every day just to get my work done. The person that trained me was in a hurry to get out of the job and run to something else. Management told me this is one of the few jobs they couldn’t fill internally and jokingly asked me every day “you are coming back tomorrow right?”

Pros

A few good employees that you can count on. CEO and owner was always super polite and kind. Mr. Ellis was great. Everyone under him, not so much.

Cons

Nothing but drama. I was lied to about job description in my interview and pay was below subpar. The manager thinks she can do whatever she wants meanwhile everyone else has to announce when they are going to the bathroom in a group text. I was told I would be strictly outbound and that this department was new and would be “my baby” and I could run it how I’d like. Fast forward to starting the job, I was only allowed to receive inbound calls and then was thrown on the scanner to scan over 100s of documents a day. This is not what I was promised in the slightest. I quit in the middle of the day with no notice. Employees were so overworked that they would all get mad at each other when someone needed to leave early or take a day off. No work-life balance. And the customers- horrendously entitled and rude. I work in a different luxury industry now with much better management, employees, and customers.
