Pros
They are flexible with scheduling.
Cons
So to start off, the pay sucks. Overworked for little pay. You're scheduled to get off at a certain time, but end up being mandated. so you get off an hour and half to two hours past your off time. so dont ever make plans after work. Management never works with you. They dont care that you have a life / responsibilities outside of work. You can get written up / suspended for literally anything. If you are a driver, you will literally drive ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. you dont get a break. you'll be driving from borough to borough. You dont get to eat because the call volumes are ridiculous. They hold emergencies for over an hour, until you are done with your previous call. And the emergencies can be over 45 minutes away. So you'll be driving lights and sirens for a ridiculous amount of time. The logo is "courteous, compassionate care" but clearly do not care about their employees. Youll get bari patients over 300 pounds and they someway somehow expect you to fit them on the tiny stryker stretcher because the limit is 350, or theyll tell you to figure it out. If you need a lift assist, you'll be waiting over an hour, due to having no available units. You get the point. Its so many cons. much more than i can think of at the moment. But dont work here because yea you'll get transport experience, but you'll be miserable and unhappy.
