      The best self motivating job EVER!!!!!

      Pros

      I am completely surprised at all the reviews I have been reading about RetailData. I have been with the company for over 3 years and I can honestly say I have not met more caring, compassionate people to work for. I have worked at my fair share of companies who don't appreciate their employees and RetailData is not one of them. I have read people complain about wages and feeling like they aren't appreciated or aren't paid fairly. I have to disagree with those statements made because you are paid for every job you do for the company. We need more companies like RetailData that care for every aspect of their employees, not just work performance but the whole employee.

      Cons

      I wished there was more companies like RetailData around that cared more for their employees like they do. It's hard to find a company that isn't just about the bottom line and not about the employees who help them achieve that success.

      Easy Work, Good Incentives

      Pros

      The job includes easy tasks, a fairly malleable schedule, and good bonuses and incentives for being quicker and more accurate as a collector.

      Cons

      The main downside to the job is that it is mostly solo work, meaning that you don't really have any co-workers and you're collecting data alone. It can get a bit dull and boring if you're used to people interaction. The other thing that gave me a problem was that there was a lot of driving, you have to be prepared to drive for an hour plus, to and from your scan location, regularly.

      Pros

      Well you will get paid @ $12/hour initially, but eventually that one goes away and becomes a Piece rate ($0.14 per item scanned). At the beginning you need to do a lot to get along with knowing how it works, which is good but the company will not tell you at the beginning that you will be transferred to the Piece rate eventually. So all the efforts that you make just evaporates.

      Cons

      Transferring to the Piece rate means you lose your opportunity to make more money. You cannot make enough money while you are on Piece rate. The contracting procedure should be transparent at the beginning. The Data Collectors don't have even a chance of being considered for the district manager positions, even if they are qualified. The company just don't even lets you know about up coming opportunities. All you have to do is just data collection.
