Pros

The company provides opportunities to be involved in and lead interesting and complex software projects with a wide range of customers in various industries. If you are eager to learn and take on new responsibilities, you can grow a lot here if you’re straight out of school. There are also some great team members that are a pleasure to work with (though there are also some really bad apples). However, if you do join, start planning your exit right away because you will not get far here, and most things you learn are non-transferable.

Cons

You will be working with a product that shows its age every chance it gets. Though it does address its niche very well, working with it in a customer-facing capacity is not pleasant. It is extremely difficult to defend this product in front of frustrated customers because its faults are so readily apparent. This isn’t helped by releases that are few and far between and an engineering team that feels out of touch with customer needs. In addition, most of the management team has been around for too long and is more interested in complaining about each other than getting any work done. The culture has become increasingly negative and contentious, which is a real drag on morale. Given that most new hires are recent college grads, a lot of them don't know any better. Also, the company vision is non-existent. The same vague slides get presented every year about how the company is about to enter the 'next phase' but nothing much changes.

Pros

breakfast on Monday, snacks in kitchen

Cons

- company is run by managers who are unqualified, but that is unnoticed since all new hires are new college graduates with no experience. these managers would be unqualified as leaders in other places. - management has zero strategy, so zero chance of a 'real' career at this company. Recent graduates are told to Shut Up, experienced workers are forced to conform or forced out. - environment of distrust nurtured by management to keep their 'office' safe - some misogyny on the part of upper management - absolutely pathetic benefits
