      Pros

      There are some really great people at REI and most of the people take responsibility for their work. Great product and people take pride in the place they work. Nice people and casual corporate environment. The executive leadership at REI is second to none.

      Cons

      People seldom leave REI, so openings for promotions are limited. Many middle managers who were never properly trained on how to be a good manager and don't understand what it takes to be successful in good business.

      Pros

      REI is a cool place to work, but does not pay well unless you reach upper management. They offer a very good benefits package and also offer a limited benefits package to part time employees. Very nice discount of items they sell!

      Cons

      REI does not pay well, they donate millions of dollars to communities around the country but really do not pay their employees as much as they should in my opinion. So if you are looking to make good money, this probably isn't the place for you.
