Pros

Great co-workers, values, integrity of co-op

Cons

Low wages. REI pays minimum wage, but the work is skilled. They actually pay at the poverty level in my area, and that is with full time hours. You feel taken advantage of; not a career track job. Difficult to advance or develop transferrable skills.

Pros

Did you know that if REI management starts to passively aggressively not put you on the schedule like they do in Washington State, that it is Illegal, and according the EEOC is known as "Constructive Wrongful Termination" - where they force you to Resign/Quit.

Cons

In Washington, they purposely force you to quit when they dont want you there anymore by not scheduling you as much.
