Pros

-The co-guide team you get to work with is top notch. -Plenty of free snacks. -Competitive pay.

Cons

-Company culture consistently eroding. -REI is reducing their variety of tour offereings, therefore reducing work opportunities for guides. -Experience not valued. The management team treats it's employees as assets, making decisions based only on the "business needs" and not the people that work for them. -Guides are expected to have full availability year round, making work life balance extremely tough.

Pros

Kind coworkers and discount access.

Cons

Extremely anti-union. Management are horrible people and dictators to the culture. Karma came back when they shut the store down.
