FE Review

Pros

People that you work with everyday are genuinely good people who care about you.

Cons

FEs are consistently overworked, expected to put in 70+ hours a week while being on salary. Despite the demands of the role, FEs are underpaid and undervalued, which has led to the highest turnover rate of any position. It often feels as though the company would rather let experienced FEs go and replace them with new, less experienced hires instead of retaining and properly compensating the talent it already has.

A company going nowhere

Pros

Great Pay, good benefits. Depending on your project you can have Great management or incompetence. The work itself is ok, if you know what you're getting into, it's better than other solar companies for sure (MosTech, Kiewit)

Cons

The executive management is in free fall. Almost every month another C-Suite executive quits and no one fills their role! It's a top down cascading effect. They sell off their projects. When they have minimal work lined up for the future, yet they try to assure you that things are lined up for the future! I've seen retaliation from higher management, employees who threaten physical violence who are not reprimanded in any way because they "bring in the money" and countless stories of certain workers or operators that managers have requested to not drug test because they know they'll fail! They're also in a class action lawsuit for denying bonuses and countless people have stories of RES withholding Bonuses for YEARS. I can feel that something is going to give very soon, Potent mass layoffs. Go anywhere else, the cracks are showing. The C-Suite doesn't leave en masse unless there is something seriously wrong.
