HORRIBLE Leadership

Pros

The people on the team getting the work done are inspiring and the least toxic within the company. They encourage and collaborate in a creative space which you don't often see at other places in a field that can be pretty competitive. You'll make friendships and relationships here that will last you a lifetime.

Cons

There's more professionalism and skill on any member of the team below management. EXTREME nepotism. There's a director here that everyone actively spoke out against who was verbally abusive and can't do her job. She was given her own office and less responsibility. Essentially, she was promoted. She performs at a level that any assistant here could outdo. If you aren't on the VP's good side, you'll be pushed out. She was made VP after being here for 1-2 years max, while assistants stay that way for years and make $15-$22 hourly, which you could make at McDonald's. They made some strides in getting rid of some of the bad eggs in leadership, but the micro-aggressions live on. Expect to work late nights and weekends.

Pros

Steep discount Working with fashion, which is fun and creative If you're just starting out revolve would be useful for getting a high-profile place on your resume and for gaining some experience in your field. For me it was my first real job after college; I got in, I got out, and now I'm working at a company that is 10X better. So I'm grateful to Revolve for being a stepping stone, but nothing more.

Cons

You don't earn enough to afford living in LA, or to save money Opportunities for a raise or advancement are hard to come by; there was almost no room for growth in my role. Cliquey work environment, draining day to day, no work-life balance, no schedule flexibility, terrible benefits (no 401K matching, awful PTO) HR does not seem to affect change or take action based on information they hear in exit reviews, at least from my experience There is a total lack of employee appreciation and support; higher-ups who have been there for a long time seem to be the only ones reaping benefits. The company would rather spend millions setting influencers up with freebies and jetting revolvers around the world for instagram campaigns than actually care about the financial and emotional well-being of their employees.

NOT WORTH IT - read the reviews carefully

Pros

- hybrid work schedule - talented designers - the steep discount to fill the void in your life while working here

Cons

- UNDERPAID below industry standard - with the expectation to work 12 hour days and on weekends when needed to meet disorganized deadlines. (1/3 of designers quit within a 4 month reorg span with additional layoffs. Many without jobs lined up and zero new hires to refill positions) - MANAGEMENT- inexperienced, unorganized and condescending to the talented teams beneath them. Management here is a huge detriment to the business. please hire leaders. - POOR COMMUNICATION and lack of process across the company - limited supplies and resources (manual data entry for many hours- much room for manual error) - NO GROWTH OPPORTUNITY. little opportunity to learn and grow from leadership due to lack of knowledge and experience above. company does not recognize talent, acknowledge achievements or successes. - TITLES: assistant, jr. assistant, associate, sr. associate... These loophole titles do not exist elsewhere in our industry- they are put in place at revolve to slow the growth and opportunity of their employees. Promotions are not performance based and rarely occur. - PTO and SICK DAYS = all in one and accrued. many take unpaid time off, most don't have time to have time off... health benefits are poor too.. - read the reviews carefully as we’ve all said- protect your health, wellness and career trajectory. You deserve more than what revolve has to offer. Respect yourself please because they won't.
