Pros

The discount is great, people also love the parties as well as the weekly free lunch.

Cons

Yikes, I am not too sure where to start. The list can go on and on but first and foremost the is the micromanaging. My specific lead, I will just use her first initial, N was rude, condescending, and just had no idea how to talk or manage people. They often have mandatory overtime and expect you to be happy about because they buy you food. There is no real room for growth. Transferring outside the department is almost not a real option. In my time there only two people were allowed to transfer into different positions. I know a lot of people apply to the customer service position in hopes they can be buyers or move into the artistic side of the company and this is sadly not how this company works. This last bit may sound petty but the warehouse workers are always in the bathroom and our break room and it makes it frustrating to use the bathroom ( only two stalls available for a department of almost 100 people). The leads and managers throw a weekly "book club", and have daily meeting which last an hour plus, meaning we have no management on the floor leaving all the hard work on Sr. reps and often leading to a poor customer experience.

Pros

The company is growing fast; there's no doubt about it. REVOLVE is going to be one of the next biggest fashion e-commerce boutiques. Additionally, the employee discount and free lunch thursdays are awesome.

Cons

While the company has a very relaxed and laid back culture, this is a trait common in the majority of businesses in the retail fashion industry. As mentioned in other reviews, the biggest problem here is nepotism. Of course the people, the human capital, are the strongest assets in the company and that is why the company is evolving so fast. However, favoritism within the select few at the company is very discouraging for 1) new hires and 2) the "out" group. I've been at REVOLVE for a few months now and still have a hard time fitting in. I'm no doubt working with great individuals; however, the lack of bonds I've formed in the company makes me unmotivated. It's hard doing a great job when there is a lot of favoritism and a high school esque feel of which employees are "cool" and which are not. On a side note, if you want a work life balance, say goodbye to that. Everyone here grinds hard. If you think you're a hard worker, expect to take it to the next level at REVOLVE.
